At Brisbane City Lawyers we are open and transparent about legal fees at the commencement and throughout any legal matter which we are engaged to act .
Before we commence working on any legal matter we will provide you with an estimate of our professional fees, expenses and disbursements.

initial consultation
The initial (FREE 20 minute telephone consultation) is vital in obtaining information from you about your matter and in determining whether you need to proceed with a legal matter or take any action at all.
Should you require an in person consultation with a Solicitor or require a longer telephone consulation, we offer a reduced hourly rate of $99 + GST per hour.
fixed fees
Where possible we offer fixed fee arrangements to create certainty. This means that our clients know exactly what they are paying for and what they will receive, without any nasty surprises.
Our fixed fee service generally applies when we can clearly identify the work required. For example our fixed fee service may be suitable for tasks such as the preparation of a contract or estate planning matters such as the preperation of a will or enduring power of attorney.

TIME COSTING
Where a fixed fee cannot easily be identified due to the nature, duration or complexity of a matter (for example drawn out litigation we generally charge a time-based fee in reference to the amount of time our Solicitor(s) spend attending to the matter.
We beleive that our fees offer value for money and are extremily competitive. We also keep our clients updated throughout their matter by providing ongoing cost disclosures so their arn`t any nasty surprises at the end.
Payment Options
Brisbane City Lawyers provide several payment options including:
- Direct Deposit;
- Cheque; - Credit Card (We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or JCB); or- BPAY;
In some instances we may also be able to provide you with a Payment Plan or details to consider for litigation funding.
