At Brisbane City Lawyers we provide an estimate of our fees upfront and explain to our clients how our fees are calculated and in some instances offer payment plans or defered payment options. We generally charge on either a fixed fee basis or a time costed basis which depend upon the nature, duration and complexity of your matter.
initial consultation
Your initial consultation with us is vital as it can determine whether you need to proceed in a matter or take any action at all. The consultation will run for however long you need. During your initial consultation with us one of our friendly solicitors will provide you with a preliminary assesment of your matter including an estimate of fees and advise you of any anticipated outlays.
fixed fees
Where possible we offer fixed fee arrangements to create certainty for our clients. This means that our clients know upfront what they are paying for with no nasty surprises at the end. Our fixed fee services are offered when we can clearly identify the work required with clarity. Our fixed fee services are suitable for the preparation of certain documents and procedural matters.
time costing
Where a fixed fee cannot easily be identified from the nature, duration or complexity of a matter (i.e drawn out litigation) we charge time-based fees in reference to the amount of time our lawyers spend attending to your matter, our fees offer value for money and are extremily competitive. We dont beleive in ripping people off and keep our clients updated throughout their matter so that they can track costs.
