At Brisbane City Lawyers we are open and transparent about our fees at the commencement of any legal matter.
Before we commence working on any legal matter we will provide you with an estimate of our professional fees, outlays and disbursements.
Professional fees are the amounts we charge for our professional services. Expenses and disbursements are the amounts that we pay or incur on your behalf, for example a court filing fee.

initial consultation
The initial FREE 20 minute telephone consultation is vital in obtaining key information from you about your matter and in determining whether you need to proceed with a legal matter or take action at all.
Should you require an in person consultation with a Solicitor or a longer consult we offer a reduced fixed fee consultation of $99 + GST per hour.
fixed fees
Where possible we offer fixed fee arrangements to create certainty. This means that our clients know exactly what they are paying for and what they will receive without any nasty surprises.
Our fixed fee service generally applies when we can clearly identify the work required. For example our fixed fee service is suitable for tasks such as the preparation of a contract or estate planning matters such as the preperation of a will or enduring power of attorney.

TIME COSTING
Where a fixed fee cannot easily be identified due to the nature, duration or complexity of a matter (for example drawn out litigation) we generally charge a time-based fee in reference to the amount of time our Lawyers spend attending to the matter.
We beleive our fees offer value for money and are extremily competitive. We also keep our clients updated throughout their matter by providing ongoing cost disclosures so their arn`t any nasty surprises.
Payment Options
Brisbane City Lawyers provide several payment options including:
- Direct Deposit;
- Cheque; - Credit Card (We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or JCB); or- BPAY;
In some instances we may also be able to provide you a Payment Plan or details to consider for litigation funding. If you are considering litigation funding it is always best to consider your own financial position and seek advice from a financial planner or accountant first.
